Danish Charter Flights to Commence in October!
(United States Virgin Islands, October 04, 2011) -- The relationship between Denmark and the Territory is one that has deep historical roots and has continued to grow over the past year. As a result of the Department of Tourism’s marketing efforts in Scandinavia, a new charter service from Denmark via Bravo Tours is scheduled to begin on October 14, 2011 with bi-weekly flights to St. Croix alternating from Copenhagen and the Western Danish city of Billund. The new service is expected to provide significant tourism growth from the Territory’s top European market and one that has historically shown strong demand for travel to the U.S. Virgin Islands. In support of this new flight, the Department of Tourism has developed a co-op marketing plan with local Danish tour operators. Additionally, in order to provide potential Danish visitors with the most in depth information about the Territory, the Department is in the process of translating their visitusvi.com website into Danish. The website translation is slated to go live this fall. (Whim Plantation photo by Don Hebert)
