Departing St. Thomas? Welcome to Yacht Haven Grande Complimentary Baggage Check!

Visitors staying on St. Thomas or just passing through are welcome at the Yacht Haven Grande Welcome Center & Complimentary Baggage Check. While at the Welcome Center, guests enjoy the "Spin to Win" prize wheel, personalized concierge service, YHG Smooth Sailing Punch (you can even take the recipe home with you!), take pictures with pirates, and receive the latest information on deals and specials at YHG shops.

Many patrons drop their luggage and go on to enjoy the beach, shopping, or a leisurely lunch. The best part: if you have a late flight or ferry on your departure date, you are within a comfy walk of eateries, and shops, in a pleasant atmosphere.

Guest Services Coordinator Joy Matheny (above, right - view more photos on our Facebook page) hosts regular open house events for area Concierges in conjunction with the "Jazz Haven" series, every third Saturday of the month and Anita and Luanda were on hand on June 16th to mix and mingle and enjoy a breezy night of Jazz by Pasado Meridiano from San Juan Puerto Rico.

Smiling broadly, Matheny welcomed many to the Welcome Center, offering snacks and soft drinks, and for the adults, a bit of the special Smooth Sailing Punch featuring Cruzan Strawberry rum.  Local artwork and photography (all for sale) graces the walls of the tropical-themed station.

"We're here to not only introduce everyone to all that we have at Yacht Haven Grande, but to provide a service," she said. "Your last day here should be just as perfect as the rest of your vacation!"

The Yacht Haven Grande Welcome Center is located at the west end of YHG near the pool; easy taxi drop-off/pick off. Hours of operation: Saturday – Wednesday from 9am-5pm and closed on Thursdays & Fridays

Seabright makes a splash with elegant new décor

St. Thomas villa Seabright has undergone a summer transformation!  This longtime favorite has gone from colorfully whimsical to elegant in just a few short weeks. 

In addition to the new king Tempur-Pedic bed in the upper master bedroom, brand-new furniture from Pottery Barn has been added to the living room and patio.  New bedding and privacy curtains, also from Pottery Barn, grace both bedrooms.

A bed from Bassett has been placed in the lower queen bedroom;  in the office/lounge is a new sofa from St. Thomas USVI outlet Silk Greenery.  The sliding glass door behind the sofa is now a picture window with natural palms growing just outside, to give this space a feeling of shaded lushness.

Coming soon, even more photos, as the kitchen flooring has been replaced with travertine tiles, and a new mosaic backsplash has been added. Also, new pool furniture, including a wrought-iron chaise for two!  "Our goal was always to make it cozy," is the word from the owners, who enjoy Seabright throughout the year themselves.

We had the perfect stay.  We loved 'Chop-Chop' (their escort)... 'Chop-Chop' was the BEST! 

Amazing villa. Would absolutely recommend to people.

I am a general manager of a boutique hotel in South Beach, and I always "find" something wrong in places I stay. Honestly, nothing was wrong here. Everything was amazing.

I will recommend this to all my guests and friends/family. Thank you for giving us the perfect honeymoon!

This U.S. Virgin Islands resident is also a veteran of U.S. military service. She invited family members (also in the military) from other parts of the world to enjoy the 60th anniversary celebration of the V.I. Carnival.  As it turns out, she had to reach out for maintenance assistance during her stay, and here's what she had to say about the attention she received from our team...

Hats off to McLaughlin Anderson staff for their smiles, helpfulness and exceptional courteousness.  Your staff can set up a training class for the people in business on the island.

The office staff, maid and maintenance crew were just outstanding. No matter what went wrong, we turned our vacation into a good time.  The view was marvelous!

Ms. (Anita) Davis, your sweet personality and concern were very instrumental in my family having a good time. Don't ever change.  Thank you very much!
