Nancy enjoyed dinner at the legendary Old Stone Farmhouse restaurant at Mahogany Run on St. Thomas with a friend, and she was so impressed that she blogged on FaceBook! We share her comments here:
What a wonderful evening; it wasn't just a delicious dinner, it was entertainment and an exciting experience from start to finish. We were invited back into the bright and spotless kitchen to see cuts of meats and signature dishes on display, and to discuss our preferences with Chefs Greg and Bryce.
Managers Todd and Whitney gave us a wealth of information which my gourmand friend Ajit so enjoyed; everyone took excellent care of us throughout the evening. We begin with a bottle of Molly Dooker Cab, and then had a rare and sumptuous bottle of Sine Qua Non! We let Chef Greg create our meals. I was served a spinach salad with roquefort and pear, shrimp ceviche, and delicious lamp chops. Then the staff brought us a knockout dessert sampler, which polished our evening to perfection.
We both felt that Chef Greg and his seasoned staff have brought a new, sophisticated and unique dining experience to St. Thomas, and we would urge everyone to give Old Stone Farmhouse a try soon.
They've added free valet parking - and we found the prices of entrees and a la cart items amazingly reasonable, particularly since you can consult with the staff and have them customize your meal to your liking.
Big thumbs up and a grateful toast to everyone at Old Stone Farmhouse! Absolutely wonderful.
